Remote activation of the Factory-on-Demand (FoD) Smartphone Interface for Audi A4 B9 models. This service is intended specifically for 2020 models where the FoD system is defective and does not provide the option to purchase Apple CarPlay or Android Auto as originally intended.

Important Information

• This service applies only to vehicles where the FoD Smartphone Interface is missing or defective
• On affected 2020 models, Audi does not always offer the FoD purchase option due to backend or configuration issues
• We cannot verify in advance whether the FoD system is defective on your vehicle
• Before activation, the customer must sign a confirmation document stating that the FoD system is defective
• A confirmation document is required before activation. Please contact us if you wish to review it in advance.
• Payment is accepted via bank transfer only
• The service must be fully paid before any work is started

Smartphone Interface – Technical Notes

• The activation enables Apple CarPlay and Android Auto via the OEM Smartphone Interface
• Wireless functionality depends on the software version of the Emergency Call (eCall) control unit

Emergency Call Module Software Requirements

• Wireless Apple CarPlay: eCall software version 0236 or newer
• Wireless Android Auto: eCall software version 0371 or newer
• If the eCall software version is lower than the above, Smartphone Interface will function in wired mode only
• Emergency Call module software updates cannot be performed remotely

Technical Requirements (Mandatory)

• ENet cable (VAS5054A and other interfaces are not supported)
• Stable wired internet connection with minimum 250 / 250 Mbit
• Wired LAN connection is strongly recommended
• Mobile phone hotspots are NOT accepted
• If the internet connection is lost during activation, additional recovery work may be required and extra costs will apply

Gateway Software Information

• Vehicles with gateway software versions 03xx or 05xx require a gateway software update
• Gateway update cost: 850 SEK (not included in activation price)

Remote Coding & Activation

All required coding and activation is performed remotely by our team using an ENet connection.
The activation is performed carefully to restore the intended FoD functionality.
Please ensure all technical requirements are met before the session starts.
