Audi RS e-tron GT – OEM ACC Retrofit with pACC & Traffic Sign Recognition
This 2022 Audi RS e-tron GT was delivered without Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC). The owner wanted full factory-level driver assistance functionality including Predictive ACC (pACC). As part of the upgrade, Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR) also had to be activated to enable full system integration.
ACC Retrofit Installation for Audi RS e-tron GT
We installed a brand-new OEM radar sensor and performed full system integration into the vehicle network. The retrofit included parameterization of the radar unit, coding of all relevant control modules and complete calibration to factory specifications.
After installation, the ACC system was fully integrated in the MMI and Virtual Cockpit, behaving exactly like factory-installed equipment.
Predictive ACC (pACC) Activation
In addition to standard Adaptive Cruise Control, we activated Predictive ACC, which uses navigation data and traffic information to proactively adjust vehicle speed based on upcoming road conditions.
Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR) – Manual FoD Activation
On this particular RS e-tron GT, Traffic Sign Recognition was not available through standard Feature-on-Demand activation. To ensure correct system functionality, we manually enabled the required FoD dataset and integrated TSR into the vehicle’s assistance systems.
This step was necessary for proper interaction between ACC, pACC and speed limit recognition.
Calibration & OEM Integration
After installation, full OEM calibration procedures were carried out to ensure precise radar alignment and correct behaviour of all driver assistance systems. No aftermarket modules were used, and all functionality operates within Audi’s original system architecture.
