Audi A3 8Y High Taillights (PR-8VP) Retrofit

Upgrade your Audi A3 8Y with the original High Taillights (PR-8VP). This OEM retrofit replaces the standard rear lights with the factory High version, featuring dynamic turn signals and animated light sequences. The installation is carried out exactly according to factory specifications for a true OEM appearance and function.

We do not use, sell or install taillight adapters. All wiring is performed according to original Audi wiring diagrams to ensure long-term reliability and factory-correct operation.

The High taillight version includes dynamic indicators and animated light functions. You can choose between the standard animation or the RS-style animation.

Special Notice – 2024+ Models (SFD2 Protection)

Starting from model year 2024, most Audi vehicles are equipped with SFD2 (Schutz der Fahrzeugdiagnose 2) security protection. This system prevents remote coding, dataset uploads and activations outside of authorized workshop environments.

If your vehicle has one of the following PR codes, it is protected by SFD2:

  • PR-NI1 – With UNECE CS & SU
  • PR-NI7 – With UNECE (R155) without SU (R156)
  • PR-NI8 – Without UNECE (R155) and SU (R156) with SFD2-SG
  • PR-NI9 – With UNECE CS & SU

Vehicles with SFD2 cannot be activated remotely.

For these vehicles, we only offer installation and activation at our workshop in Vellinge, Sweden. If you are unsure whether your vehicle has SFD2, please contact us before ordering.

Installation & Activation

All coding, adaptations and feature activations are performed using RetroLab Pro. No third-party tools, scripts or manual coding are required.

Hardware installation must be carried out according to Audi factory repair manuals and wiring diagrams. We do not provide trim removal or mechanical disassembly guides.

You must be comfortable working on your vehicle or have a professional workshop perform the installation. Remote activation support is available if required (additional cost may apply).
