Traditionally, enabling dynamic blinkers and S-style taillight start-up animations on the Q5 required dealership tools like VAS5054/VAS6154 and booked remote coding sessions. With our updated Retrofit.nu Activator, you can activate everything yourself in minutes with just a Windows laptop and an ENet cable. No remote coding. No dealer hardware. Just plug in and click once.

What You Need

• A Windows laptop with internet connection
• An ENet (OBD ↔ LAN) cable – buy it here
• Optional: USB-to-LAN adapter (if your laptop has no LAN port)
• The Retrofit.nu Activator app (free download)
• VIN license (€100) — unlimited use for your Q5/SQ5

How It Works

1. Connect the ENet cable between your laptop and the car (USB–LAN adapter if needed).
2. Launch the app — it automatically reads your VIN and checks your license status.
3. Click once to activate dynamic blinkers and the start-up animation.

If your VIN hasn’t been licensed yet, the app guides you through a fast in-app purchase — no account or registration required.
