Audi A4 B9 Facelift Virtual Cockpit Retrofit (MIB3)

Complete OEM retrofit kit for upgrading Audi A4 B9 Facelift Avant and Sedan models with the original virtual cockpit. Developed for vehicles equipped with MIB3 infotainment, this retrofit provides full factory functionality and the latest Audi display designs.

  • Brand new virtual cockpit (0 km) – correct mileage can be set

    • RS Sport
    • RS Performance
    • RS Runway (Petrol)
    • S Sport
    • S Performance (Diesel)
  • RS4 Edition 25 layout with white dials available (Petrol models)

Compatible Models

  • Audi A4 / S4 / RS4 B9 Avant Facelift (2020–2023)
  • Audi A4 / S4 / RS4 B9 Sedan / Limo Facelift (2020–2023)

Vehicles must be equipped with MMI Navigation High (PR-7UG) or MMI Navigation Preparation via FoD (PR-7UZ).

Important Information

Installation of Virtual Cockpit on Audi A4 B9 requires Component Protection removal.
Component Protection cannot be removed remotely and must be handled locally by an Audi dealer or a workshop with online access.
As this is the latest generation available for the B9 platform, flashing of several control units is required.
Only vehicles produced from 01.01.2020 are supported.

Special Notice – 2024+ Models (SFD2 Protection)

Starting from model year 2024, most Audi vehicles are equipped with SFD2 (Schutz der Fahrzeugdiagnose 2) security protection. This system prevents remote coding, dataset uploads and activations outside of authorized workshop environments.

If your vehicle has one of the following PR codes, it is protected by SFD2:

  • PR-NI1 – With UNECE CS & SU
  • PR-NI7 – With UNECE (R155) without SU (R156)
  • PR-NI8 – Without UNECE (R155) and SU (R156) with SFD2-SG
  • PR-NI9 – With UNECE CS & SU

Vehicles with SFD2 cannot be activated remotely.

For these vehicles, we only offer installation and activation at our workshop in Vellinge, Sweden. If you are unsure whether your vehicle has SFD2, please contact us before ordering.

Installation & Activation

All coding, adaptations and feature activations are performed using RetroLab Pro. No third-party tools, scripts or manual coding are required.

Hardware installation must be carried out according to Audi factory repair manuals and wiring diagrams. We do not provide trim removal or mechanical disassembly guides.

You must be comfortable working on your vehicle or have a professional workshop perform the installation. Remote activation support is available if required (additional cost may apply).
